What is the u3a?
The u3a movement is a unique and exciting organisation which provides life-enhancing opportunities. Founded in 1982, u3a is UK wide, with over 1,000 locally run groups and more than 450,000 members.
The u3a is local, social, friendly, low-cost and open to all. It believes in lifelong learning, developing your interests, making friends and trying something new. Those with free time come together and learn together, not for qualifications but for its own reward and to share and enjoy interests.
Crewkerne & District u3a was formed in 1997 and is active with members forming a broad range of learning, interest, and hobby groups with the opportunity to start new groups to cover your interests. We also have a monthly meeting with a diverse range of educational and entertaining speakers, and an opportunity to meet and chat over tea and cake and group outings to interesting venues and events.
We hope that your u3a experience will always be rewarding and enjoyable, and that you enjoy all aspects of being a member. The menu links above give further information but if you have any questions please contact us.
